Congress to extend homebuyer tax credit

Congress has passed the bill to extend the federal tax credit to homebuyers.  The legislation has been sent to President Obama to give homebuyers who entered into contract by April 30th until September 30th to close their deals.

The House approved the measure on Tuesday and the Senate unanimously approved it Wednesday night.

When I found this out I was sitting in the living room with my son who is purchasing his first home.  We also found out today that the bank approved his short sale after 2 months being is escrow.  To say the least this has been a very emotional ride for him and his fiance’.
