Artesia, California (BROADVIEW MORTGAGE) June 18th, 2013
As the school year comes to a close, there are some very excited students at Niemes Elementary School in Artesia. The 7th Annual Science Fair was presented by grades 1-6 and judged by various volunteers.
Niemes Elementary School is a “Magnet School of Distinction” and has a focus on environmental science as well as technology. The science fair was an opportunity for their students to truly shine. Projects ranged from “Does 7up cause rust?” to “Levitating magnet cars”.[Broadview], the Assistant Director of Branch Development, was in attendance on behalf of the bank. “The amount of work that went into these projects is astounding. The detailed descriptions that these students gave about their projects was phenomenal! Parents and teachers should be very proud of these kids” says Apodaca.
When asked what his impressions were of the school, Apodaca responded with “Principal Jimenez is doing a great job here. I could not have been more impressed. I’ll admit I was a little intimidated by how well these students can articulate their positions. I hope they invite us back next year!”
The winners of each grade were announced at an awards ceremony that evening.
